The short version
If you have paid for a subscription and it is not what you wanted, tell us within fourteen days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. You do not have to explain why.
That applies to your first payment on a new subscription. Later renewals are covered further down.
Your statutory right, and what happens to it
Buying digital content online normally gives you fourteen days to change your mind. That right ends once the content is delivered, if you have agreed it can be delivered immediately and acknowledged that you lose the right by doing so.
A Statometrics subscription is exactly that: you get access the moment you pay. So at checkout you are asked to agree to immediate access and to acknowledge that this ends your statutory cancellation right.
We then give you the fourteen days back as a policy anyway. We would rather somebody left with their money than stayed feeling trapped.
Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. We email you before a renewal so it is never a surprise.
If a renewal catches you out, tell us within fourteen days of the payment and you will get it back, provided you have not made significant use of the service in that period. Cancelling then stops any further payment.
Cancel at any time from your account. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for — we do not cut you off the moment you cancel, and we do not pro-rate a part-used month.
If we break something
If the service is unavailable for a long stretch, or we withdraw something material from a tier you are paying for, you do not need to argue about it. Tell us and we will refund the unused part of your period, or extend it, whichever you prefer.
This applies whether or not you are inside the fourteen days.
When we will say no
We will refuse a refund where:
- the account has been shared, resold, or used to bulk-download data, all of which break the terms of use;
- you are asking for a refund of a period that ended months ago;
- the same person has repeatedly subscribed and claimed a refund.
We will not refuse a refund because a strategy lost money. That is not what you are buying. You are buying the data and the measurements, and both work whether a given idea turns out to be any good.
How to ask
Email support@statometrics.com from the address on your account and say you want a refund. There is no form and no retention call.
We aim to answer within two working days. Approved refunds go back to the card you paid with, and your bank usually shows them within five to ten working days.
If we cannot agree
Tell us why and a person will look at it again. Nothing on this page affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and you can always take a dispute to your card provider.
