How the goals actually fall
What share of games end with each number of goals in them — nil, one, two, and so on to eight or more. Two leagues can average the same and look nothing alike here: one scoring in nearly every game, the other quiet most weeks with the odd rout. The average cannot tell you which, and this can.
Note each column is a final total for the whole match, not a time — the nine add to 100%. Every league is drawn to the same height, so the rows can be read against one another.
Goals window
When in the ninety the goals arrive — in blocks, or across any stretch of minutes you name. Stoppage time counts in the half it extends, so a goal in 45+2 lands at 45 and one in 90+3 lands at 90. Blocks ending on those two minutes are marked + and run high for that reason, not because the football changed. Extra time is left out altogether.
Note each block's cut of the goals scored — the blocks add to 100%. It says where the goals are, not how often a block delivers one.
